Services
We have three services on Sunday, and one on Wednesday.
The Lord's Supper: The early church practiced the Lord's Supper on a weekly basis Acts 2:42, 20:7. And The Lord commanded "do this in remembrance of Me" 1 Corinthians 11:24-25. As He instructed, we meet together to remember Him using the symbols of bread and the cup that speak of His body and blood. By doing this we remember His death and resurrection in the past, His current presence among us Matthew 18:20, and His future return - He said "do this until I come" Luke 22:19. The Lord's Supper is for those who have been born again by receiving The Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Therefore unbelievers and believers that are under discipline from a local church are prohibited from sharing in these symbols 1 Corinthians 5:9-12. Anyone is free to attend and observe, but only those with a clear testimony of saving faith in The Lord Jesus are received to participate. At this meeting we remember The Lord using the Scriptures, extemporaneous prayer, and hymns of the faith that express Biblical truth. Gospel Meeting and Sunday School We believe in the systematic preaching and teaching of God's Word Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Timothy 2:2, 4:2. It is also our privilege to publicly proclaim the good news of the Son of God's saving work. All are welcome to come and hear the preaching at this meeting. There is Sunday school provided for children Family Bible Hour The early church gathered for hear Bible teaching Acts 2:42. This is a time where men that the Lord has gifted, teach the local church from God's Word. Having a solid grounding in God's Word protects us from believing things that would be harmful to us. His Word is the primary way that He communicates to us, so we put a high value on studying His Word as a local church. Prayer Meeting/Bible Study The early Christians also gathered together regularly for prayer Acts 2:42. Prayer is our primary way of communicating to God. This meeting is so important because prayer shows that we need God and that we cannot get through life on our own. It is important that we pray together and not just separately because a local church is a unit, and we need to think the same thoughts as one another--especially about how much we need God's help in our lives and church. |
